Apollo Tyres becomes the new sponsor for the Indian cricket team after Dream11 until 2027
From 2023 to 2026, Dream 11 sponsored the Indian cricket team, and they had a deal of INR 358 CRORES approx. But now they pulled themselves out from sponsorship, and guess what Apollo Tyres will be sponsoring until 2027? This deal is going to become a golden opportunity for the tyre manufacturing company for global recognition because we know the indian cricket calendar is full of international matches.
Apollo tyres will be paying about INR 4.5 Cr per match, which is higher than Dream 11's paying amount, which is INR 4 Cr.
The reason is very simple, after the indian government banned those real money apps under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act. And of course, this ban affected the Dream 11 revenues because Dream 11 and MyDream11Circle contributed nearly INR 1000 Cr, which is a huge amount.
The women's cricket team is sponsorless in the ODI Series, and it's still unclear if Apollo tyres will feature on the jersey in the women's World Cup (Sept 30, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka)
The men's cricket team is playing in the Asia Cup without sponsor logos so far.
This sponsorship is going to be very lucrative for Apollo tyres, it will provide huge global recognition and opportunities, as we know how the cricket calendar is going to be very busy for the indian team.
